The Rules

THIS IS THE FIRST THREAD YOU SHOULD READ! Claiming you do not know the rules will NOT excuse you from punishment. Punishment is decided by the Administrators, arguing your case will result in further discipline. There is no excuse for not knowing the rules!

By joining Bleach Souls you agree to follow and abide by the following rules. And also that you understand the severity of breaking these rules.


General Rules

1. Respect:

A. You are to respect other members and staff members on the site. So keep it civil around the site, try to talk things out if there is an issue. If you have an issue with another member please report to the 'Talk to an Admin' section of the site.

B. Please refrain repeatedly from contacting staff members about approving your application. While we try to prioritise this, occasionally with have things that are more important.

2. Harassment:

A. Refrain from discrimination at all times! This means don't be sexist, racist or simply demeaning to your fellow members. This is a serious offenses so please think about what you are saying. We do realize jokes will be made about these subjects. But we ask you to be respectful. Jokes sometimes hurt.

B. Another serious offense is sexual harassment, this can be anything from stalking people to simply acting sexual towards other members without their consent. Don't do it!

C. Flaming and spamming is naturally not allowed and will be punished. Making a point is much more effective if you justify it factually rather than resorting to insults.

3. Content:

A. Explicit content is not allowed! This does not only include pictures and videos, but also text. You may not post any material regardless of sensor.

B. Advertiments must be posted in the appropriate section. Posting an advertisment anywhere else will result in punishment.

4. Language:

A. Any and all offensive language is not allowed! We are a PG-13 Board.

5. Accounts:

A. Multiple accounts are forbidden. We know if you have multiple accounts in the same household. You may have multiple characters. However please mail an admin to gain permission before beginning your new character. You must also contact an admin if you have two account from the same IP for a valid reason (eg. Siblings).

6. Live Chat:

This sites chat room is directly to the right of the Logout button, beneath the banner.

A. You are politely requested to use your own character name when logging in to the chat-box. This is so as members do not become confused.

B. All other rules still apply, this means no discriminatory comments nor innapropriate language.

Posting Rules

Before you start role-playing, please register a profile and make sure it gets approved before you do start making in-character threads. While you are role-playing, do not god-mod, meta-game or power-post. We are an intimediate ability forum. So when you post in-character we ask you to at least post 100 words, which is about two healthy paragraphs.

1. Profile:

A. Before you start role-playing you need to have an approved profile so you have an actual character to role-play with. This also shows us you are capable and won't disturb fellow members with a lack of knowledge.

B. Profiles are to be written in third person, always.

C. Do not make perfect people. Everything and everyone has a flaw or weakness.

D. Do not post in another members profile if you're not a staff member. We understand you'd like to help but we are capable.

E. In total you are allowed to have three characters. And up to five NPC Characters at a time. Upon death of a character you may contact an admin and request the reimbursement of an allowed character spot.

2. Role-playing:

A. Not only do we write our profiles in third person, we also role-play in third person only.

B. BSRP is an intermediate role-playing site, this is why we handle a 100 minimum word count while you're posting in character. We won't bombard you if your post is a 90 words but make sure you don't have us kick your ass because you wrote one line of text.

C. God-modding is not allowed, it's a term used in role-play to describe it when someone says another character performs an action or is automatically damaged. Here is a simple example:

God Modding: Ichigo pushed Gin off the boat.
What should happen: Ichigo launched towards Gin, hoping to make contact and throw knock Gin from the boat.

D. Meta-gaming is a term used for when a character claims to know something he couldn't possibly know, this is of course also forbidden. Here's an example:

Meta-gaming: Gin thought to himself; That Ichigo is such a noob and Ichigo immediately responded "I'm not a noob!"
What should happen: Ichigo noticed Gin seemed to be thinking to himself as he asked: "What are you thinking about?"

E. Power-posting is again a term in role-play to describe something that is not allowed. It means double posting or not paying attention to post order or if the thread is closed.

F. Personal matters are not to be taken in consideration in a role-play.

3. Thread Tags:

Members need to know who is allowed to join. If threads are not given a tag then they are automatically assumed open. Here are the tags you can use:

[open] - This thread is completely open for everyone to join.
[closed] - This thread is closed and no one new may join.
[private] - Only invited members may join.
[combat] - This is a fight thread. Deaths are allowed
[no combat] - This is an open thread that may not involve combat.

Finally all of the previous may have a .R] on the end of a tag, to indicate that this forum is rated. More informartion can be found on this in the statistic section of the site.
